About your Instructor
My name is Reece. I am your instructor who isn't just qualified, but is extremely passionate.
Growing up on family sailing adventures, I have been on the water since I was a small child. That passion led him to become a boat and jetski instructor in 2017, and in 2019, I opened Redbeard Boat Licensing in the Redlands to share my love for safe and enjoyable boating. Helping people gain the knowledge and confidence to explore the waterways is incredibly rewarding. Every student learns differently, and I find joy in tailoring my teaching approach to get the most out of each student. With extensive experience, including sailing across Bass Strait at 12 years old, holding Master 5 and MED 3 qualifications, and even serving in the Australian Navy, there's no doubt I can equip you with the skills and knowledge to navigate your boating journey.
